May Beach Hotel - Rethymno (Crete)

The food during BBQ nights with Greek dancing was good.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room was quite old and ineffective. We also noticed that the pillows had an unpleasant smell, and the bathroom had rusty and dirty shower fixtures. Lastly, the lack of noise insulation made it difficult to rest, as we could hear other guests from the corridor.

The hotel is in a perfect location close to Rethymnon by bus or taxi. It's a walking distance from Taverna Garden, where you can eat something...

Can recommend for a city trip

Friendly staff, clean room, and a lovely pool area made our stay enjoyable, with convenient beach access just a short walk away and plenty of dining options nearby.

Had an enjoyable stay for a relaxing holiday, glad I've chosen it. I got a great breakfast with dishes at the buffets. The pool was clean and I had carbonated drinks in the poolside bar. I loved being in this place. ...  

The May Beach Hotel exceeded my expectations. The lovely outdoor pool area and the beautiful gardens created a serene escape. I appreciated the variety of tasty food, especially during the BBQ nights with Greek dancing. The staff brought a warm and cute atmosphere, always finding ways to ensure I felt at home. My room was modern, clean, and spacious, with excellent amenities such as fast Wi-Fi and quality toiletries. The beach access was disappointing. The rocky area where the hotel is located made swimming difficult. I found the drinks at the bar lacked quality. The all-inclusive option seemed overpriced for the value, especially regarding the alcohol selection. There was also a fair amount of noise from the main road, particularly during the busy hours. These factors are something to consider, but the hotel is still a great choice for a relaxing getaway.

We really enjoyed the lovely outdoor pool area and the short walk to the beach with a cute little path. The kids loved the variety of activities available, including table tennis and a playground.

My wife says that the breakfast options were a bit limited for families with children.

This hotel radiates warmth and hospitality! Meals were deliciously varied and the lovely outdoor pool is fine. Easy beach access makes it perfect for relaxation.

Excellent family atmosphere with good meals

The spacious pool area offered plenty of fun for the kids, with lots of sun loungers available without the usual towel wars. The staff were attentive and always eager to help. It would be great if the beach access was a little more direct, as we had to navigate through some paths to get there.

Loved the beautiful garden area and the lovely pool. Playing table tennis was a highlight for the family!

Recommend it for families with children

The staff, Maria always had a smile and was quick to help us whenever we needed anything. The food at the buffet was surprisingly good, each night they had a different menu with fresh ingredients from local...  

I had a fantastic time with my family, especially enjoying the delicious variety of options in the buffet meals and the lovely large pool area, perfect for our kids. the room we chose was a bit smaller than I expected based on the photos, which was a minor letdown but didn't spoil our experience. I would absolutely come back here again!
